Five Points of Life 5k walk and Flying Biscuit Cafe on Saturday

This was my biggest adventure yet! Beth has to limit the photos we post (I wanted to do them all) as there's so many. Beth walked with many of the folks from Alachua County Public Works department. Sally had told her last year that Ha was organizing and she should go too. Beth ran the 5k last year but didn't mind one bit walking. Here we go!

Before the 5k started.
I am here! Woo hoo! Let it begin. :)
At the starting line!!!
Off we go!

At the first water station.

This is called Lake Alice.
These are the UF bat houses. Beth said there's a big thing on Wednesday nights, right at dusk. She's seen it once and said 'boy did it stink!'
We're making progress!
Over half done! Wooo hoo!
A little more to go!
C'mon Beth!!!

Almost to the finish line! This Buttfreckle will be happy then!
I didn't get one of these but thought I needed a good 'remembrance' photo! Well done me!!!!
Framed by the finish balloon! Way to go me!

After the 5k there was an expo. Quite a few photo opportunities as you will see. That in itself was awesome!

The guy here worked for Merrill Lynch BUT was part of the 2006 championship team!
He was kind enough for me to look at his ring! I have no idea who he was but really made my day!
Don't forget to donate life! I liked this mailbox. :)
This is Girls on the Run. Beth said this is a great program where they have pre-teen girls practice running building up to a 5k. She ran it last year and one is scheduled in April!
I was framed! But good idea to be an organ donor. The lady at the booth was kind enough to help. :)
Even Buttfreckles promote clean teeth.
We went to the Flying Biscuit Cafe next.
This was Beth's breakfast after the 5k. She ordered the "High Flyer".

As you see, we had leftovers! Some for me later - woo hoo!

What a fun day, good company, great cause, awesome expo and great food. This was my biggest adventure yet! However lots of excitement and fun made for a tired traveling Buttfreckle. Until my next adventure - I sign off!

    1. Auntie B, You don't need to worry. Whatever adventures you and JW do he'll have a blast. I fear he might get into mischief at your job. ;) He relishes big time in the simple things.
