One of her projects was making "hot" (very odd term) some ports at the Alachua County EPD department. Of course I went along to help.
She wanted to walk over to EPD but rode over with her coworker, Kenny. She planned a few things like help Erika get ready for a webinar, bring some laptops over and those ports. I wanted to see what all this jazz was about. But that place, it was neat!
This is inside the closet place.
Enough room for me to fit!
Places for plugs.
A swing for me! Freckles love fun!!! These are called patch cables. You plug them into a thing called a "switch". Then, she said 'people can sign onto the network and work.' She tested the connections and they all work. Way to go Beth!
Before we had left for EPD, she took a picture with me and Captain Calamari. He's a present for a coworker. Two colorful and cool guys! I had a great day and there's more to come! See you all later!
WOW Jitters! You really got into everything at the EPD. I hope you didn't get anyone into trouble!
ReplyDeleteNo, Jitters was a big help to me and was well supervised in the network closet. He made sure I didn't mess anything up!
DeleteJitters....what an exciting day! Sure glad you didn't plugged into anything..it may have hurt! Love, Auntie B
ReplyDeleteAuntie B, Though it was live and working equipment Beth made sure I was super safe before she set me down. And I was such a big help too!
