This is a statue at O'Leno State park.
Yes, it was really me by his foot.
And he did wield a BIG ax!
The statue was a worker with the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).
This is a Grist Mill.
What it was used for.
And me on top of the sign!
This one of the trophies the big winners receive!
The top three finishers in each age group receive one of these.
We finished!
Hanging out in Joni's watch, next to Leslie's MP3 player.
This is my buddy Branigan. She went home with Leslie!
This is Leslie's trophy. She took second place in her age group! Beth ended up getting 7th in hers!
After the Race the Tortoise 5k, we had a break in the day until the GCC (Gainesville Cycling Club) annual meeting. More food for me to taste and fun to have!
This is one of the door prizes offered at the meeting.
Some water bottles.
I liked the picture on this gift certificate!
This commuter bike was nice!
I fit very nicely on the seat!
Some information about it!
I like this bike!
And the bell is my size!
Some of Beth's tasty food!
Boy this salad tastes good! Would be nice with strawberries though.
I believe they call this "flan". Beth couldn't eat and took it home.
I had a great day. Perfect weather at the 5k, hanging out with Branigan (and Leslie getting a trophy) and then later on at the GCC annual meeting. Oh how I'd love to ride a bike. That one I sat on was awesome. But I did enjoy running with Beth (I was in her pocket) during the 5k! Thanks to the folks at GCC letting me have another awesome adventure!
Wow! You are not shy when food is around. Good thing you ran a marathon before digging into Beth's plate. The turtle trophies are adorable!
