The start of sugar snap peas!
Oooo tomatoes! Sorry my hosts up in northern parts of the US - gonna be a while until you can grow yours.
Swiss chard. Beth's not too keen on this.
I think this might be more chard or perhaps kale.
I believe this is kale.
A mystery leafy veggie!
Cabbage! No it didn't eat me. ;)
Nice tree!
Same tree!
I believe that's the tree!
No junk here!
An herb!
Another!
What could this be?
Tasty carrots!
Believe this may be an onion.
Starting of squash.
Pretty strawberry!
This will taste grand!
Oh yes!
Nom nom nom! Tasty indeed!
Lots of amazing veggies, trees and other stuff at the Community garden! That's one great thing Gainesville, well Florida for that matter, is their seasons. Folks can grow veggies and other tasty food year round. The gardens here are based on square foot gardening as the plants were in those squares.
I hope you enjoyed this entry. No Beth and I weren't able to harvest any of the crops. That would have been awesome! Now what to do in Gainesville - I'll have to find out and let you in on a 'secret'!
WOW! A Community garden is awesome. I know Jitters had to taste the strawberry for me. They are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteBeth had no idea you liked strawberries, but I did! They were quite tasty. She made sure no residue stayed on my frizz.
DeleteI love this set of photos Jitters. You look so natural around the vegetables. Glad you enjoyed the strawberry! Love, Auntie B
ReplyDeleteAuntie, I can't wait for our adventures! They are coming soon!
